Three visitors policemen have been arrested in reference to the current case through which a policeman allegedly requested for a RM100 bribe from a British couple to settle a visitors summons issued for rushing.

In an announcement earlier right now, Perak police chief commissioner Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri stated the three personnel, aged between 37 and 42, from the state’s visitors enforcement investigation division (JSPT) had been arrested to help in investigations.

He stated all three have been remanded for 3 days from right now (January 30) underneath Part 384 of the Penal Code, Part 17(a) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Fee Act 2009 and Part 233 of the Multimedia and Communications Act 1988.

He added that the investigation papers have been taken over by Bukit Aman’s categorized crime investigation unit (USJT) and can be referred to the deputy public prosecutor as soon as investigations are accomplished. Moreover, an inside investigation can be carried out by Bukit Aman’s integrity and requirements compliance division.

In a video clip that went viral on-line, Chris and Marianne Fisher – often known as the travelling husband-and-wife duo Tread the Globe – had been proven being stopped by a visitors policeman for allegedly rushing downhill of their campervan alongside Jalan Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highlands, supposedly travelling at a pace of 80 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
