On show on the on-going IGEM present on the Worldwide Greentech and Eco Merchandise Exhibition and Convention Malaysia (IGEM) are the Modenas MEV-1, MEV-2, and MEV-3 electrical scooters (e-scooters). The trio of e-scooters are meant for fleet gross sales and should not at present obtainable for public buy.

Designed for city use, the Modenas e-scooters function hub-mounted electrical motors within the rear wheel. All three additionally include a step-through floorboard, facilitating ease of use for the rider no matter gender.

Modenas MEV-1

Coupled to a pair of 60 volt 45 Ah lithium batteries weighing 18.8 kg per unit, Modenas says the MEV-1 will get a charging time of three.5 hours per battery to 100% capability with battery life estimated at 1,500 charging cycles. That is ok to propel the MEV-1 to a most velocity of 80 km/h whereas vary is listed at 145 km at a median velocity of 45 to 50 km/h, making it appropriate for industrial use.

Curb weight of the MEV-1 is 145 kg, with a seat top of 760 mm. Mixed braking is used with discs on the 12-inch wheels frong and rear, whereas suspension is finished with telescopic forks and twin shock absorbers adjustable for preload.

Modenas MEV-2

A lot smaller than the MEV-1 is the MEV-2, weighing simply 68 kg and with a seat top of 720 mm. Twin lithium battery packs rated at 60 volts and 30 Ah weighing 10.5 per unit drive a 1.6 kW hub-mounted motor.

Modenas MEV-3

Rounding out the vary of Modenas electrical scooter choices for its fleet prospects is the MEV-3. A 3 kW hub-mounted electrical motor drives the 12-inch rear wheel, good for a ruled high velocity of 85 km/h.

Just like the MEV-1, the MEV-3 will get twin 60 volt 45 Ah lithium battery packs, with a 3.5 hour charging time per pack to full capability. Weight for the MEV-3 is listed at 110 kg whereas most load with 85 kg rider on board is ready at 195 kg.
